Long-term volunteers, 18 and older, at the Ground Floor book and snack store. Work the counter selling snacks, drinks, gift items and used books to patrons of the Hedberg Public Library. Volunteers are able to choose from two or three hour shifts Monday through Saturday. Some volunteers work two shifts a week and some work two shifts a month. Volunteer hours are chosen to fit the volunteer's schedule and interest. Applicants will be interviewed, and if chosen, will be trained extensively before working independently.

The mission of the Friends of Hedberg Public Library is to help the HPL achieve its goals, to provide an extra level of services not possible through the normal operating budget and to advocate for the Library in the community.
Description
The Ground Floor Coffee and Used Book Shop is located in the Hedberg Public Library and run by the Friends of Hedberg Public Library as a means to raise funds for the Library. The Ground Floor is run by volunteers who work two to three hour shifts. Volunteers can choose to work one to two shifts a week, month or bi-weekly depending on their interests and schedules. The Ground Floor is open whenever the Hedberg Public Library is open - Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm and Friday & Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm & Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
