NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) Event Collage
NFMLA puts on film festivals each month for emerging filmmakers locally and internationally

NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is looking for talented, passionate, and dedicated people to help run our monthly Film Festivals in Downtown Los Angeles.

Most of NFMLA's Film Festivals will be held at the South Park Center in Downtown Los Angeles (1139 S. Hill Street, Los Angeles 90015). Parking is available at 1133 S. Olive Street, 90015 (validations are provided).

*The only exceptions are NFMLA's Latinx and Hispanic Film Festival in September and Middle Eastern & Arab Film Festival in December, which are both sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Academy Awards aka The Oscars). Both of these festivals will be at the Mary Pickford Center in Hollywood.

Description
Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet talented filmmakers from around the world, network with huge industry professionals, mix and mingle with other film lovers and gain a first-hand look at how to run a film festival.

There are a variety of positions and duties available including ushering, front-desk check-in, red carpet talent wrangling, managing the floor and managing the theatre door.

NFMLA asks that volunteers help out from about 2:30PM - 12:00AM for each event, which will be typically be once a month on a Saturday. There will a short orientation given at 3:00PM, and it is vital that our volunteers do not miss this. Dinner will also be provided at each event.

Please reach out to George Gomez with any questions you may have at george@nfmla.org.

We look forward to working with you!
