facilitators book group
Braid facilitators meet for book discussion.

Braid mentor teams surround a young person in foster care with a community of love and support. Every team has a skilled facilitator who serves as a cheerleader and support. The facilitator helps mentors plan the logistics of their visit and serves as the primary contact with the youth's caregivers. They communicate with the team on a regular basis and gather the team for a monthly check-in meeting (which can be online). They take part in a weekly conference call with other facilitators to share best practices and talk through any challenges their teams are facing. Some facilitators may also be invited to attend wraparound meetings for their team’s youth. The work of a facilitator can be done remotely.
