Compassus Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to visit hospice patients in assisted living communities and nursing homes in Southern Maine. As a Hospice Volunteer, your role may be as simple as reading a book or newspaper, listening to music, attending an activity, taking a walk, or holding a hand or even playing cards. If you also have a talent, love or profession to share ie: Massage Therapist, Pet Therapy, Hairdresser or Manicurist, we would love to talk with you.
The heart of volunteering in hospice is simply enjoying each others company; time both you and your patient will find rewarding, uplifting, and inspiring. Volunteer placement and time is planned for your convenience.
If you would be interested in joining the training course, please contact our office for more information!
