Volunteers are needed to spend time with our hospice patients.
We at Encompass are looking for compassionate, loving volunteers to spend time with our patients. They need and want someone to share their final days with and we want people with a nurturing nature to give them that most basic of needs, human contact. You would spend time with the patients talking, listening, playing games or anything the patient would want or possibly need.
Our offices are in the Clear Lake and Woodlands area but we have patients all over the Greater Houston Area and Woodlands. The training would be done in our Houston office but the opportunity would be in the Pasadena Area.
Due to the nature of the patients’ conditions each volunteer must go through the state required training to volunteer with our patients. The process to become a volunteer takes a little bit but the rewards of giving your time to these patients is incredibly rewarding. You can give these people a final dignity in their darkest hour.

Mission Statement
We are A Better Way to Care. For those interested in making a difference in end-of-life care for patients, our hospice volunteers are there to provide companionship and support to patients in their final months and weeks of life. Our hospice volunteers also provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you have options about how often you help and the activities you complete. While a variety of options exist, Enhabit volunteers provide many of the following: Companionship and socialization Run errands for patients and families Walk or care for family pets Play games and/or read, listen to music or watch tv with patients. Help with light housekeeping Create photo albums of patients and their families. Write a journal or life story with patients as a gift to their families. Help with general office and agency support Sometimes all they want is someone to listen to their life stories
