Volunteers are needed to spend time with our hospice patients.
We at Enhabit are looking for compassionate, caring volunteers to spend time with our patients. Seniors are left alone a lot of the time and they LOVE when people come visit them! They love to play games, have someone to watch their favorite TV show with, and if they are mobile, they love to go for walks or simply have someone just listen to their story! They want someone to share their final days with and we want people with a nurturing nature to give them that most basic of needs, human contact. You would spend time with the patients talking, listening, or any of the things listed above.
Our offices are in the S. Houston and Woodlands area but we have patients all over the Greater Houston Area, Clear Lake, Webster, Pasadena, Deer Park, LaPorte, Galleria, Sugarland, Richmond and The Woodlands. The training would be done in our Pasadena office, but the opportunity would be in any of the locations listed above - you decide where you want to dedicate your service!
Due to the nature of the patients’ conditions each volunteer will be required to go through training to volunteer with our patients. The process to become a volunteer takes a little bit but the reward of giving your time to these patients is beyond measure. You have the opportunity to put a smile on the face of someone who is has very limited time. Won't you be that person?

Mission Statement
We are A Better Way to Care. For those interested in making a difference in end-of-life care for patients, our hospice volunteers are there to provide companionship and support to patients in their final months and weeks of life. Our hospice volunteers also provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you have options about how often you help and the activities you complete. While a variety of options exist, Enhabit volunteers provide many of the following: Companionship and socialization Run errands for patients and families Walk or care for family pets Play games and/or read, listen to music or watch tv with patients. Help with light housekeeping Create photo albums of patients and their families. Write a journal or life story with patients as a gift to their families. Help with general office and agency support Sometimes all they want is someone to listen to their life stories
