Volunteers are needed to spend time with our hospice patients.
We at Encompass are looking for compassionate, loving volunteers to spend time with our patients. They need someone to share their final days with and we want people with a nurturing nature to give them the most basic of needs, human contact. You would spend time with the patients talking, listening, playing games or anything the patient would want or possibly need.
We have offices located in The Woodlands, Clear Lake and Near Hobby Airport area but we have patients all over the Greater Houston Area including Galveston, Texas City, League City, Conroe, Atascocita, Kingwood, Tomball and The Woodlands. The training would be done in our Houston office but the location would be in the Alvin Area for this particular opportunity.
Due to the nature of the patients’ condition each applicant will be have to go through required training to volunteer with our patients. The process to become a volunteer is a little extensive but the reward of giving your time to these patients is beyond measure. You can give these people some dignity in their final days.

Mission Statement
We are A Better Way to Care. For those interested in making a difference in end-of-life care for patients, our hospice volunteers are there to provide companionship and support to patients in their final months and weeks of life. Our hospice volunteers also provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you have options about how often you help and the activities you complete. While a variety of options exist, Enhabit volunteers provide many of the following: Companionship and socialization Run errands for patients and families Walk or care for family pets Play games and/or read, listen to music or watch tv with patients. Help with light housekeeping Create photo albums of patients and their families. Write a journal or life story with patients as a gift to their families. Help with general office and agency support Sometimes all they want is someone to listen to their life stories
