Seattle Community Farm Helper

Help keep local food production going during COVID-19

Number of Positions: 1 - 5

Position Hours: Mondays from 8 - 11 and 11 - 2

The Seattle Community Farm is looking for on-going support during COVID-19 to sustain our ability to produce healthy, locally sourced food. We’ll be cleaning, weeding, planting, and preparing garden beds. On 6/22, we are also looking to revitalize one of our upper plots in coordination with Peapatch. No experience required, and all equipment will be provided and sanitized prior to use. Sign up today!

Requirements:

  • Work involves using various farm implements and assuming a number of different positions
  • Must be under age 60 (*Please consider the CDC recommendations for at-risk populations)
  • Must be currently be free of any symptoms (*Must be currently free of any flu or cold symptoms for at least 72 hours before working)

Precautions at site:

  • Opportunity for social distancing (will not be needing to physically work with another person) (*Social distancing of 6 feet of work areas)
  • Gloves provided
  • Facemask provided
  • Area is sanitized
  • Outside

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization offering a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to Asian Pacific Americans in King County. ACRS is the largest multiservice organization serving all the different Asian Pacific American communities - immigrants, refugees and American born - in the Pacific Northwest.
