Provide cheerleading instruction to youth, teens and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities. Athletes will learn individual and team cheer routines. Team members range in skill level from novice to those with competition experience. Practices are every Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30a. There is a state level cheer competition on Saturday, March 22.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
Description
SOOC offers 18 sports year-round to more than 300 athletes of all ages and skill levels with developmental disabilities.
