For the number of folks who visit, Point Isabel is remarkably clean and safe for both dogs and people due to the efforts of EBRPD Rangers and people like YOU!.
Help keep it that way by joining us to pick up *stuff* (stray poops; trash) OR by lending a hand with weeding while enjoying the views and the fun at the world's largest off-leash dog park (aka "Disneyland for Dogs.)
Come for 15 minutes or the full two hours -- every weed pulled or piece of *stuff* picked up helps.
Bring your own gloves and tools if you have them, or borrow ours. And don't forget to ask about our Special Treats for very good dogs -and their owners!
*Our focus during the summer months is on managing foxtails, noxious, invasive weeds that are dangerous to dogs. Join volunteers to pull foxtails and other weeds around high-traffic areas such as benches and picnic tables that rangers can't reach with power tools and mowers. Spring and summer intervention are particularly important to preventing foxtails from going to seed and spreading.
Contact us at info@pido.org to connect with individual volunteers working on a daily basis, or to schedule a time for a group activity for your friends, school, church, or business.
Clean-Ups are *usually* on the last Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to Noon. We usually meet near the Rydin Road entrance between the restrooms and the foot bridge.
CLEAN-UP Dates for 2024:
Wednesday May 22nd 10-1:30
Saturdays March 29, April 27 June 29, July 27, August 28th, September 28, October 26, and November 23rd
* No Clean Up in December. Check in to confirm dates, times, and meeting place in the park.
Rain/muddiness cancels.

Mission Statement
Point Isabel Dog Owners (PIDO) works with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to maintain and preserve Point Isabel as a multi-use park that welcomes off-leash recreational dogwalking; educates park visitors about park rules and concerns; preserves the natural environment at Point Isabel; and supports other groups in their efforts to preserve on-leash and off-leash recreational dogwalking
Description
Point Isabel Dog Owners Association and Friends (PIDO) formed in 1985 to advocate for recreational dogwalking at Point Isabel and around the San Francisco Bay Area. PIDO became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2000 and has approximately 6,000 members.
PIDO works closely with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to keep Point Isabel clean and safe through education (online, email, and The PIDO Pointer newsletter, which is published three times a year), monthly park cleanups, monthly weed-pulls, and an annual contribution to the EBRPD for poop pickup bags.
