About Boston Building Resources

Location:

100 TERRACE ST, ROXBURY, MA 02120, US

Mission Statement

To be the place for homeowners and renovators to make a positive impact on their communities and the environment as they care for and improve their homes.

Description

The Reuse Center accepts donations of good-quality used and surplus building materials and sells them at low prices, with extra discounts for low- and moderate-income customers and nonprofit organizations. Because materials are priced low to remain affordable, income from sales does not cover all our operating costs.

Having access to affordable materials from the Reuse Center at BBR makes it possible for low- and moderate-income homeowners to repair and care for their homes on limited budgets, and, as a result, to improve their lives and neighborhoods. By diverting perfectly good materials from landfills and delivering them into the hands of homeowners and nonprofits, we reduce the construction industry’s burden on the solid waste stream and benefit the environment.

The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a project of the Boston Building Materials Co-op Charitable & Educational Fund.
