We are specifically looking for volunteers in Austin.
Local Volunteer exceptions:
- Serve on local team and assist with regional activities of fundraising, interviewing applicants, and awarding scholarships
- Help plan one annual event to share scholar stories and raise money for a great cause
The best candidates are self-motivated, have a passion for the cause, graduated from college, and are familiar with pursuing an education.
These positions have a time commitment varying between 3 and 6 hours per month and averages around 4. Positions are designed so they can be held by those with other commitments.

Description
Founded in 1995 by a group of recent college graduates, Education First is a nonprofit organization providing college scholarships to lo income youth. The founders of Education First believe that higher education can assist in breaking generational poverty. To promote our mission, we provide both financial and mentoring support to students. Education First targets students who have overcome significant life challenges and are seldom recognized for their achievements.
