Mission Statement
Mission: To improve the social, emotional, and behavioral development of children and youth through quality therapeutic and educational equine programs.
Description
Using a strength-based, experiential approach, LEAD provides structure and guidance to assist young people in finding their own solutions and inspiration. Our short-term goal is to provide youth an opportunity to explore and learn in a non-threatening atmosphere with positive peer interactions and caring adults. Our long-term goal is to help them develop critical life skills to build resilience. We want youth to leave LEAD with Horses better equipped to problem-solve, manage stress, reach personal goals, and improve social interactions.
LEAD with Horses nurtures and cultivates the strengths and abilities of our children and youth -- to realize the promise of individuals and the collective community. Our programs provide an emotional, physical, and intellectual experience. Horses build a stronger sense of self.
