The Ohio Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) provides an opportunity for seniors to step up and make an impact in the fight against fraud. Our Fraud Fighter volunteers help empower Ohioans against Medicare fraud and work to ensure that the Medicare program will be protected now and for generations to come. In 2022, the nationwide SMP projects had a total of 5,365 total active team members who helped contribute to the reported $153,812 in expected Medicare recoveries from fraud.
In addition to feeling "like one of the good guys", benefits include mileage and expense reimbursement; free online training; flexible schedule that meets your personal needs; continuing up-to-date training on healthcare scams and other significant topics; and minimal easy-to-complete paperwork.

Ohio SMP is a project of Pro Seniors, a non-profit organization providing free legal and long-term care assistance to older adults.

Ohio SMP is supported by Grant #90MPPG0005-01-00 from the Administration for Community Living (ACL).
