Until a foster home placement is available, our adorable, adoptable labradors usually stay for a short time at the HOTLR Lab Ranch in Leander, TX. We are looking for volunteers who can come out to play with and socialize the dogs and help them practice some of the important skills that will help them find loving homes of their very own. Your visit might include a trail walk, a romp in the yard, a quick training session or game, or just some quiet time in the lounge. The dogs often need to work on skills like loose leash walking, sitting to greet, and just hanging out quietly while a person reads, relaxes or enjoys a meal. The notes and photos you take during your visit will also help us place the dogs in foster or forever homes! Woohoo! New volunteers are asked to visit the ranch for a brief orientation before getting started. Minors with parent supervision are welcome to come help at the Lab Ranch. Help on weekday mornings and afternoons is especially needed, but volunteers are welcome from 8am until 8pm daily. We're sooo excited that you are interested in visiting the labs at the Heart of Texas Lab Rescue's Ranch ... the labradors will be OVERJOYED to see you!!
