ORGANIZATION: HORSES HELP

Horses Help is looking for volunteers who want to get dirty! We need individuals who are willing to dig in the dirt as part of our Garden Gurus volunteer program. Do you like to be outside? Do you enjoy plants and gardens? Come join the fun! Garden Gurus are volunteers who assist with various tasks and projects in the gardens at Horses Help. Tasks include watering, planting, harvesting, pruning, weeding, assisting with special needs groups that also work in the garden, sharing your expertise with others and just enjoying your time outdoors! We also have an aquaponics system. No experience necessary! We can teach you what you need to know.

Guru days/times:
Monday evenings 5:00-6:00
Tuesday Mornings 9:00-10:00
Wednesday Mornings 9:00-10:00
Friday Evenings 5:00-6:00
Saturday Mornings 9:00-10:00

Horses Help is a recreational and therapeutic organization, in an equine environment, for the special needs and at-risk community by helping to overcome barriers dealing with physical, cognitive and emotional limitations.

Description

Horses Help has been serving the special needs and at risk youth populations for over 30 years. Volunteers assist children & adults with physical cognitive and emotional challenges during daily sessions in a very diverse equine environment, The volunteers at Horses Help will be delighted with the diversity of the programs with which to participate.
