Providing comfort, care and meaning at the end-of-life.
Do you enjoy sharing stories with other people? Are you the family historian, collecting stories, pictures, and genealogies to share? Do you have a natural gift and interest for creating beautiful, lasting mementos to be shared by family for years to come? Is surfing Pinterest your idea of a great time, and you're looking for a way to bring all of your favorite boards into reality?
Rainbow Hospice Care has an opportunity for you! We are looking for individuals with experience or interest in family history and creating beautiful, life long mementos for our Legacy Life Review program. Legacy Life Review gives hospice patients the opportunity to store and preserve their family history and life story for their surviving family and friends to share. Individuals who assist with our Life Legacy program assist our hospice patients in creating lasting mementos for their family to share. Legacy Memories may include pictures, audio and video recordings, and a written manuscript of an interview conducted by the Legacy Volunteer. We also have a selection of Memory Journals that our volunteers assist our patients in completing.
Materials and training are provided by Rainbow Hospice Care.
For more information, call 920-674-6255 and ask for Volunteer Services. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rainbow Hospice Care!

Description
Rainbow Hospice Care was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers in the Jefferson County area. In 1995 we cared for 40 patients the whole year, and today we care for 95 patients on a daily basis. In March of 2011 we opened our Inpatient Center located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. We are a community based non-profit organization that serves patients with any type of life-limiting illness such as cancer; heart, lung, and liver diseases; stroke; Parkinson's disease; Alzheimer's; ALS; or AIDS, generally with a life expectancy of less than six months. Regardless of age, race, gender, faith, ethnicity, insurance coverage, or economic status, we treat all of our paitents and their loved ones with the same respect, kindness, and concern-focusing on quality of life, maintaining comfort and dignity and providing expert support tailored to each individual's unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and wishes.
