Fall sports begin the end of August and run through November. Athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages and skill abilities, from 3 - 80 years old, novice through advanced. Tennis is on Saturdays, 3:30-5:00p. Cycling is on Sundays, 10-11:30a. Soccer is on Sundays, 4:30-5:30p, 5:00-6:30p. Bocce on Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30p. Golf on Wednesdays 5:45-7:00p. UNC Unified Flag Football will be on Thursdays, 6-7p, for UNC students in Sept/Oct. Ultimate Frisbee is on Thursdays, 6-7p Oct/Nov.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
Description
SOOC offers 18 sports year-round to more than 300 athletes of all ages and skill levels with developmental disabilities.
