Want more meaning in your life? Want to bring joy to others? Become an Intrepid Hospice volunteer!
Our volunteers serve as caring friends and companions to our patients. You can make a big difference in someone's life just by showing that you care about them. As a hospice volunteer you might read to someone who can no longer read due to poor eyesight, watch TV with them, play their favorite music, or just enjoy visiting and listening to their life stories.
If you're not able to make visits, we also are in need of a volunteer who can help by making weekly phone calls to make sure patients and caregivers have all the supplies and support they need heading into the weekend.
Being a hospice volunteer is like being a friend to someone in need. Qualifications include having a heart for people and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Contact Julie at 417 882 0614 or julie.clark@intrepidusa.com for more information.

Description
What is Intrepid Hospice Care?
Hospice is a multidisciplinary service for people with a terminal diagnosis that have a prognosis of 6 months or less, if the disease runs its normal course. As experts in pain and symptom management, we bring individualized care that alleviates suffering and extends comfort.
We offer assistance not just to the patient, but to the family as well. Our interdisciplinary team approach provides care and practical support to the patients and families we serve, with our main goal focused on the comfort of the patient and meeting their needs with respect and dignity.
