Are you looking to do something life-changing in your community, work with a passionate team, and help others when it's needed most? Join us!
- Provide hands on care for shelter clients to include but not limited to assistance with activities of daily living, wound care, incontinence care, assistance with functional needs.
- Provide health education, health assessments and determination if a higher level of care is needed.
- Assist clients to replace medications, durable medical equipment or consumable medical supplies.
- Advocate for client needs with Disaster Health Services supervisor.
- Support maternal and child needs as necessary.
- Complete required virtual self-paced and instructor-led training required for the position.
- Complete required virtual self-paced and instructor-led training required for the position (9 hours total).

Local disaster events; minimum 8 hour shift
Deployment: 2 week commitment
For volunteers responding locally/within Region:
- Do you have an active unencumbered license or certification for RN, LPN/LVN, MD, D.O., EMT, PA, Paramedic? (Note: Retired RN, LPN/LVN license will be accepted, if and only if, the state issuing the license allows full scope of practice for volunteer work.)
- Are you willing and able to volunteer in person in a disaster shelter before, during and/or after a disaster event?
