Our members render service to the Town of Leesburg, VA in many ways, including performing neighborhood vehicular patrols and providing child DNA identification kits and safety information to parents at school events. We respond to emergency call-outs to assist the Police Department in searches for lost individuals and we patrol to identify damage and direct traffic after severe storms. We provide traffic control at accident and fire or other major emergency scenes when events become extended in duration. Other duties include crowd control and foot patrols at annual Town events throughout the year and performing Town of Leesburg streetlight surveys. We also assist the Police Department with administrative help when requested.

Mission Statement
The Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team, Incorporated is organized to aid, support, and in all lawful manner, assist the Police Department of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, in the prevention of crime and the promotion of public safety.
Description
While the Team is usually tasked by the Leesburg Police Department, it also assists other Town of Leesburg public and private organizations and businesses engaged in community spirit activities. The Team has contributed countless hours of volunteer service in child fingerprinting and DNA collection, traffic speed and flow monitoring, neighborhood patrolling, manning drug education and public safety displays, conducting street light surveys, and directing traffic and helping with crowd control at accidents, emergency scenes and special events. The Team receives no pay for these services, but as a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) charitable organization it may accept donations from individuals or organizations.
