The needs from our elderly community have increased due to COVID-19. Food resources, isolation and loneliness are challenges that homebound seniors face everyday. Our goal is to build a community that nourishes and strengthens the lives of every homebound senior in Montgomery County.
Volunteers help deliver meals to over 1000 homebound seniors each weekday and Saturday Breakfast Bags. Upon completing an application, waiver, background check and orientation, volunteers deliver a route convenient to their home or office.
Meal delivery is a flexible volunteer opportunity. Volunteers can choose from a permanent assignment, such as every Wednesday or be a sub. Subs sign up from a link every Friday to help cover routes that are down for the upcoming week.
Meals are picked up and delivered at 10:30am from 6 different pick up locations throughout the county.
Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, New Caney, The Woodlands and Willis
Volunteering for Meals on Wheels is the easiest way to give back to your community.
Special details: Due to federal regulations, each volunteer must undergo a background check and volunteer orientation.
