Volunteers will help with the upkeep of caring and harvesting of SA Hope Center's community garden. All that is grown in the garden will go in our food pantry which will help provide fresh produce to individuals and families in need.

This opportunity may require lots of bending, kneeling, squatting, or standing for some time.

2 Shifts

  • 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM CST
    Can accommodate a shift of no less than two hours within this time frame.
  • 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM CST
    Can accommodate a shift of no less than two hours within this time frame.

Description

SA Hope Center is a Westside resource center empowering individuals and families in crisis to become sustainable through holistic individualized services, accountability and grace. We help working poor families struggling with food insecurity/crisis situations work one-on-one with a social work mentor to set goals and take the necessary steps to make positive progress in all areas of their life including employment, healthcare and finance education. In addition we provide nutritional assistance and clothing services.
