Experience the power of community. As a volunteer Ally, your role is simple, but powerful. Come eat a meal, hang out, and LOVE PEOPLE.
Being an Ally with CrossPurpose is about more than just volunteering - it's about belonging to a community, believing in others, and building hope. As you focus on extending love and kindness to those around you, you'll make new friends, break down barriers, and become better humans together.
Hard working adult students in our career school are paired with a group of Allies - caring new friends who provide positivity and hope on their journey towards self-sufficiency. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-8:00pm to enjoy food, loads of fun, meaningful story sharing, & authentic relationship building. Dinner and free childcare is provided at most events.
We are accepting Allies for our next classes at both our Denver and Englewood (South Metro) location. Please email our Volunteer Team at volunteer@crosspurpose.org for questions, to apply, and/or a campus visit.
At CrossPurpose, we provide a stepping stone for adult students to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Graduates gain new skills to enter a career, embrace a new hope, and experience deep personal transformation. By covering education/training costs, providing one-on-one coaching, and creating a loving community, we believe our Denver neighbors have what it takes to overcome barriers and transform our city.
Allies should have a high relational ability and active listening skills, at least 2 years of full-time work experience, and their p ersonal and professional life should be stable.

About CrossPurpose
Location:

Mission Statement
To abolish economic, spiritual, and relational poverty through career and community development.
Description
Our tuition-free, six-month career training
program aims to empower individuals
in Denver to develop the personal and
professional skills that they need to
succeed in the workplace. We offer a
variety of career certification and pre-
apprenticeship tracks to provide a wide
selection of career opportunities.
Our program participants are called
Leaders, because we believe that every
individual is the leader of their own
change. We aren’t the hero, we are
simply here to provide the personal,
professional, and community resources to
help our neighbors succeed. In addition to
emphasizing growth in economic capital,
we believe in the power of developing
spiritual and relational capital.
We believe that no significant change
happens without significant relationships. By
completing our program, our Leaders gain far
more than career skills. We surround them
with caring staff, community volunteers, and
like-minded peers in order to build long-lasting
relationships that go beyond our program.
