If you have previously worked in an office, administrative volunteering would be a good choice for you. You’ll be able to use the skills you’ve learned in your previous jobs to help the hospice care organization with their day-to-day tasks. If you haven’t done any administrative work before, don’t worry-your hospice organization will provide you with training before you begin. The most important thing is to be enthusiastic and excited about helping the hospice care organization with their community outreach and administrative tasks.

Volunteers....

• are non-medical
• do not participate in patient feeding
• do not providing direct care
• do not help administer patients medications.

Main duties of a volunteer are to...

• assist Volunteer Coordinator with information tracking
• make copies for our Hospice team
• support our birthday and bereavement programs
• help put together information packets and mailers
• filing, photocopying, and assisting with mailings
• participate in special events geared towards patient care

Office is open M-F 8:00am - 5:00 pm. Whether you have as little as 1 hour a month or a few hours a day, please give us a call to help support our families in need. Please contact our office now.

Requirements:
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must pass a background check
