Do you know how to shop for groceries?
Put your grocery shopping skill to good use. Volunteers are needed to grocery shop for homebound older adults. Grocery shopping for a senior who is no longer able to do it themselves, enables the senior to remain living independently in their own home.
Grocery shopping for a senior involves picking up a list, going to the grocery store and returning to the client with their groceries. This activity usually takes 1-2 hours and can be scheduled any day any time that is good for you and the client. Volunteers are matched with clients based on location and are asked to grocery shop for clients two times per month. Mileage reimbursement available.
