Are you interested in becoming a Senior Peer Counselor in San Luis Obispo County? Peer Counselors offer skilled listening and guidance to help older adults navigate the ups and downs of aging. Counselors are trained to provide quality services that have been shown to improve the quality of life of older adults and support their independence as they face various life circumstances.
Volunteers benefit from a free specialized advanced seminar series, mileage reimbursement, weekly professional supervision, on-going training opportunities, and enjoy camaraderie with fellow Counselors in San Luis Obispo County.*Due to COVID, our training is now online instead of in-person instruction. This is a great time to start the process, as we normally only hold 2 trainings a year (in the fall and in the spring). There is a workbook in addition to the online presentation. Don’t miss this great opportunity for virtual training from the comfort of your home.
