We are looking for responsible sophomores, juniors, and seniors from high schools in Nevada County and El Dorado to serve as one-to-one friends to elementary and middle school students. The volunteer locations are at various elementary and middle school sites during the school lunch hour OR at an after-school program. It only takes an two hours a month to BE A HERO to a younger student and help open up his/her world to "fun and dreams and opportunities!" Note that this is a one-year commitment from the time that you start serving as a Mentor.
