The Therapeutic Mentoring Program is seeking adults, ages 21 and over, to mentor youth receiving services for emotional disabilities. Founded in 1998, this program matches youth, ages 9 to 17, with adult mentors. Currently, there is a need for some mentors to mentor youth receiving services through our outpatient mental health clinics located in the communities of Fallstaff and Lansdowne (Baltimore City). Mentors matched with youth meet their mentees in the community. All mentors receive orientation and training and are supported throughout the duration of the match by the Mentor Coordinator and child's treatment team. By being a special visitor, a positive role model, and a consistent person in your mentee's life you can make an impact. Mentors visit once a week, work one-to-one with their mentee and enjoy activities together in the community. Contact Lporter@cc-md.org or call Lauren Porter at 667-600-3054 .
