Join Davis Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in our "Scarves for Troops" Program by knitting or crocheting scarves and hats to send to our deployed troops. Help make their winter a little warmer and their holidays a little brighter by reminding our troops they are loved and their sacrifices are appreciated. These made-with-love gifts will be treasured by all who receive them! Guidelines as well as recommendations for size and colors will be provided. Please contact Davis RSVP at 801-525-5052 to register.
This is a wonderful opportunity for church groups or knitting & crochet clubs to complete a meaningful service project. It's also ideal for seniors, disabled or home bound people to be able to participate from home. People age 55 or better are encouraged to enroll with RSVP when registering.
Benefits of volunteering through Davis Co. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (for those age 55 or more) include:
- Supplemental insurance while in service
- Mileage reimbursement for travel to and from the volunteer site
- Ongoing recognition programs throughout the year.
Come join us in this labor of love to let our deployed miltary know how much their service to our country is appreciated and their great sacrifices honored.

Mission Statement
Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
