How are Volunteers Utilized?
Volunteers are currently needed to assist with a variety of positions within Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. We place volunteers throughout the hospital to help support patients, staff, and visitors with non-medical needs.
The Hospital Unit Volunteer will act as a liaison between the nursing staff, patients, and families by providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities will include answering phones and patient call lights, greeting a directing patient visitors, rounding on appropriate patients and offering non-medical support, inventorying and stocking supplies, cleaning and organizing unit areas, and other special projects as requested by unit supervisor.
