The Rowan County Literacy Council has partnered with several Rowan County Elementary & Middle Schools to provide additional literacy instruction to students identified as being in danger of falling behind NC literacy benchmarks. Tutoring will take place for approximately 30-45 minutes per week during the school day. For more information, please visit:

Description

We provide Adult Basic Education (ABE) tutoring in reading, writing, and life skills to students over 16. We provide English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring to speakers of other languages. We provide tutoring for students studying for the GED or for US Citizenship.

We provide training for volunteers who wish to become tutors.
