Programs change throughout the year. A staff will meet with you to find a program that fits your experiences and talents.

Ideal candidates include those pursuing careers in education, social work, counseling or related fields. A strong work ethic, high level of
enthusiasm, and desire to work with youth are critical. Past experience in a youth camp or school/recreational setting is helpful.

The Boys & Girls Club of Troy provides a safe, positive place for young people to grow, learn, play, interact and develop into self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of the community.

Description

The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is a non-profit youth development organization that provides educational and recreational activities, in addition to mentoring programs, to more than 1,200 children, ages 6 to 18, in the tri-county area. For over 35 years, the Club has given youth a platform which allows them to develop into self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of the community. The Club conducts programming in five core areas: education and career development; character and leadership development; sports, fitness and recreation; health and life skills; and the arts. The Club operates daily after-school programming as well as a 10-week summer program.
