We are looking for volunteers who are interested in food rescue and who want to make a difference in the community by reducing food waste and helping to provide food to people in need. This addresses the impacts of Covid-19 by trying to help reduce the increased food insecurity.
Food Link is powered by over 250 dedicated volunteers who work to collect, sort, and distribute food to our community partners. There are different shift options including sorting and packing food at grocery stores, helping out at the Food Link Hub (our building in Arlington), or driving (in your own car or in one of our vans) for pickups and deliveries. Volunteer shifts are available 7 days a week. You can make a regular commitment to a weekly or biweekly time slot and/or be on our fill-in list to help out with shifts as they work for you.
Let us know you are interested and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you with next steps.
