Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Center for Modern Aging Princeton Home Friends Program.
Home Friends volunteers are matched with an older adult living in Princeton or surrounding area. Home Friends provide weekly visits which typically include conversation, walks, assistance with routine tasks, or sharing a mutual hobby.
The minimum time commitment is one hour a week. Visitation may be longer and more frequent as agreed upon by the volunteer and recipient. Many of our Home Friend recipients prefer visitors during the week rather than on weekends. Many meaningful and lasting friendships have developed between HomeFriends over the years.
Do you speak a language other than English? Let us know!
Do you have a hobby or skill to share with an older adult? Let us know!
Note: Home Friend recipients reside within Princeton, volunteers must be able to get to Princeton to see their Friend.
Home Friends is a one-on-one volunteer program that takes place in the older adults home or in the community as agreed upon by both participants.
