Our match check - in specialists work with the Sunshine social service staff to support the potential introductions of potential home provider and home seekers who are meeting for the first time. Mission Statement
Sunshine’s mission is to ensure quality of life for older adults and strengthen communities through a safe home-sharing model, supportive economic empowerment, and connections to resources and services.
Description
Seniors with extra space and empty rooms rent to individuals needing a place to live. By creating a mutually beneficial living situation both parties benefit from cohabitating. Senior Home Providers price the rent in accordance with the hours of additional services or companionship provided by the home seeker. You trade human capital for assistance around the house, transportation, or other chores which are fundamental to maintaining independence in ageing. By bringing two people together you are helping to address many needs with one solution, social isolation, lack of affordable supportive services, and creating affordable housing.
