Silent Auction Intern for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula
Responsibilities:
- Schedule meetings, communicate with sub-committe members, delegate tasks, and make decisions based upon the goals and budge of the Dinner Auction
- Attend meetings and act as liaison
- Work with Event Coordinator to compile lists & materials
- Create item descriptions
- In charge of a subcommitte (6-8 individuals)
Time Requirements: 1-5 hours/week. April-October (7 month internship)
*required to attend Auction Steering Committee meetings on weekday mornings (between 8 am- 9:30 am) once per month*
*required to lead Silent Auction Sub-Committee meetings once per month*
Qualifications:
- promptness
- work independently
- be able to communicate with a broad range of community members
- reliable transportation (approved travel costs will be reinbursed)
- preferred customer service experience

We serve over 6,000 youth between the ages of 6 and 18 throughout Hampton, Newport News, York County, Gloucester and Mathews County. We have a total of 13 Clubs.
