At HI USA, we believe in the power of travel to open minds and the power of community service to open hearts. Above all, we believe that these experiences should be rewarding - not costly. That's why, for the 15th consecutive year, we are offering groups across the country free overnight stays at HI USA hostels in January and February 2025 through our Great Hostel Give Back (GHGB) program.
What is GHGB?
During January and February 2025, qualifying groups of 6-30 people receive one free night's stay (up to four nights) at an HI USA hostel for each day its members spend volunteering at least two hours in the community surrounding the hostel.
HI USA’s lounges, kitchens, and dining rooms ensure plenty of opportunities to connect with other travelers. We invite your group to join in with our free events, tours and activities to meet like-minded travelers and explore the hidden gems of the city.
Whether you are service group, a college group or just a group of friends wanting to visit somewhere new and give back to the community, apply now for the Great Hostel Give Back program and help us make the world a better place.
If your group is interested in participating in Great Hostel Give Back, please complete the GHGB application form - all groups are welcome, join us as we work together towards a more tolerant world.

Description
For more than 80 years, HI USA has been the country’s leading hostel brand. Our fun and affordable hostels are located in top cities and unique destinations: think converted mansions, reinvented lighthouses, beach communities and national parks. We bring travelers together locally and from around the world, and that’s just the start. From local tours and curated travel experiences to events and experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural enrichment & understanding to everyone who stays with us or joins one of our events. We believe in the power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of people, places, and the world around - in fact, it’s our nonprofit mission.
