COUNSELOR ADVOCATE VOLUNTEERS
Counselor Advocate Volunteers play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. As part of the program, volunteers will be trained to handle crisis calls through the 24-hour L.A. Rape and Battering Crisis Line, respond to Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) centers, and provide immediate crisis intervention services to survivors and their loved ones. Additionally, Counselor Advocates in the DART program work closely with law enforcement personnel, offering support to survivors during domestic violence incidents.
