The Plymouth Historical Museum is seeking a volunteer with past work experience in an archive and/or museum registrar’s department. Duties include creating Finding Aids, organizing records, assisting researchers, and accessioning artifacts following proper museum protocols. Computer proficiency required. The work environment is generally quiet and congenial. A commitment of 3-6 hours per week is requested, and work hours can be scheduled on Wednesdays between 9 and 4 and Fridays between 1 and 4.

The Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum, formally the Plymouth Historical Society, is a privately funded membership organization dedicated to preserving, teaching, and presenting history through the operation and support of the Plymouth Historical Museum.
Description
The Plymouth Historical Society was organized in 1948 with 52 original members. The Plymouth Historical Museum opened its doors to the public on 14 February 1976; an addition was completed in 2001. The Museum is housed in a beautiful, 26,000-square-foot building, donated to the Society by Miss Margaret Dunning in memory of her parents.
