Summary:

As a member of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House Development Team, the Development/Administrative Intern is responsible for supporting event planning tasks - primarily the Fall Gala and the Spring Walk for Kids, supporting donor cultivation activities, researching potential funders, supporting development communications and other administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support fall Gala preparations, including solicitation for the silent auction, sponsorship mailings, etc.

• Support team development, logistics and communications for the Walk for Kids

• Assist in fundraising, appeals, other special events, projects and mailings

• Coordinate in-kind donations

• Provide administrative and clerical support, including filing, organizing, etc.

• Research donor information, including telephone numbers, email addresses, etc.

• Support the PRMH team with other clerical and office duties as needed

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Self-starter with initiative

• Experience with MS Word, Excel, proficiency with donor database desired

• Experience in fundraising campaigns and/or public relations for a nonprofit organization a plus

• Working toward Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or Development Certificate

• Willingness to learn
