Planting

Come out to plant trees with Lansdale Borough and the Montgomery County Conservation District! The planting will take place along a branch of the Towamencin Creek in Whites Road Park and the cemetery across the street. Ages 12 and up preferred.

Learn the correct way to plant a tree! A planting demonstration will be held prior to the planting.

What to wear: Long pants and long sleeves (dress in layers!), boots or old sneakers

What to bring: Water bottle and work/garden gloves
(optional: sunscreen, hat, bug spray, hand wipes, snack)

Description

The Watershed Specialist at the Montgomery County Conservation District works to improve and protect the quality of our fresh water resources through restoration work and environmental education. Volunteers are often needed for planting workdays, stream cleanups, invasive plant removal, and for environmental education events.
