Looking for a way to make a big difference? Enjoy driving? Community Blood Center is looking for volunteers with safe driving records to help deliver life-saving blood, plasma and platelets from our Kansas City headquarters to help critically-ill patients in hospitals within a 2-hour radius.
Deliveries range from 2-4 hours, round trip. We provide the training, background check, vehicle, fuel and fun-you bring the time and dedication. Join us today!
To become a Volunteer Driver, you would need to be at least 21 years of age, able to lift 35 lbs. Kansas law requires a standard drivers license. Missouri residents must get a have a Class E license or higher (we reimburse the $35 cost after 6 months of service).
