Delivering Hope
Furniture Delivery

This position is one of the quickest ways to make a big difference! You’ll pick up and deliver furniture so the families in our program have a bed to sleep on, a kitchen table to eat at, and all the things that make a house a home. We always make sure the items being picked up/delivered are within your comfort zone and volunteer shifts can be as short as 45 minutes or as long as 4 hours, it's up to you how long you want to volunteer! We have a box truck available, or you can use your personal vehicle. Please let us know if you are interested in being a driver!

Mission Statement

Partners in Housing guides families in housing crisis from insecurity to stability, self-reliance, and prosperity.

Description

Partners in Housing is a Colorado Springs non-profit that provides a year of transitional housing and supportive services to families experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness. We have 68 housing units that range in size from motel-style apartments to single-family homes. We have both centralized and scattered locations. We provide families in our Family Self-Sufficiency Program one-on-one budget and credit counseling, individualized case management, resource navigation, housing navigation, career readiness sessions, life skills classes, access to two free Donation Centers (includes items such as canned goods, hygiene products, diapers, kitchenware, bedding, clothing, furniture, and mattresses), and on-site childcare. Last year, 90% of the families in our program successfully moved onto safe and stable housing upon graduation.
