ABE

Our volunteers provide one-on-one tutoring for Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) students. These classes provide opportunities for adults to acquire basic education and language skills that are necessary:

  • To meet their work, family, and community responsibilities,
  • To prepare for post-secondary and job-training programs,
  • To achieve high school equivalency, and
  • To achieve self-sufficiency and improve employment prospects

We provide volunteers with training, materials, and ongoing support. All volunteers must undergo a background check. Previous teaching experience is NOT a requirement; volunteers simply need to have a passion for helping others succeed.
