SCORE SWFL is virtually open for business. To meet increasing services demand, SCORE SWFL is expanding the diversity and capacity of our volunteer base as we support our community in restarting and recovering from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Volunteering your business expertise with SCORE Southwest Florida may be for you!

Since 1976, SCORE SWFL volunteer business experts have served Lee and Hendry Counties, including Ft. Myers (and beaches), Lehigh Acres, Cape Coral, Estero, Labelle, and surrounding communities. In 2019 SCORE SWFL volunteers mentored 377 unique clients (52% in business), delivered 1,516 total services (including 773 local workshop attendee hours) and supported 24 new business starts and creation of 257 non-owner jobs.

Volunteer business expert opportunities include: 1) Mentoring (Virtually via zoom, email or phone), 2) Teaching, planning or hosting online workshops, 3) Developing innovative collaborations and programs with community organizations, or 4) Supporting Chapter operational needs to achieve Chapter goals including committee leadership, client services, marketing, community outreach, fundraising, member services, or workshops.

Successful SCORE volunteer mentors are good listeners, empathetic, and adept at applying their diverse business experiences/expertise to meet the needs of each small business/entrepreneur client. We give you a coach, train you in our mentoring methodology and co-mentor with you as you get to know our clients.
