Educating Students at CPI School Facility in Ghana
Students in Takoradi, Ghana, West Africa being educated in one of 12 planned classrooms being constructed by CPI.

Want to make a difference is the lives of vulnerable students in Africa struggling to obtain an education to become self-reliant and productive in society? Then join our all-volunteer family of few who passionately care about vulnerable and orphaned youth in SubSaharan African countries. We are not a large business with paid employees, but a small group of volunteers who experienced first-hand in Africa the dire need to help youth in Africa with their eduation, and wanted to do what we could to support that challenge.

We partnered with a school in Ghana, Africa and an Orphanage in Zambia, Africa to provide quality education to vulnerable and orphaned youth. To sustain these endeavours, we need to grow our fundraising profile and are looking for individuals with or without event planning experience who might help us plan, co-ordinate and manage periodic fundraising events. As fundraising events are exciting ways to raise awareness and financial support, we are seeking volunteers who possess creativity, organisational skills, commitment and enthusiasm to develop ongoing events and see them through to successful conclusions.

Candidates must be committed to volunteering and interested in supporting our mission. Have ability to work well and effectively with a small team of dedicated volunteers, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Be creative in planning and executing fundraising projects with high probabality of yielding returns on investment to increase donation revenue for mission. Project coordinators will work together as a team of six (6) under "CPI Fundraising Develdopment Program", selecting a lead volunteer who will coordinate with team and CEO on projects and requests. All project coordinators will attend all meetings, when possible.

All CPI volunteers work from home and join volunteers' meetings and project planning via WhatsApp or Google video meetings, in addition to periodically meeting in-person at reserved conference areas conveniently located in DC area public libraries. We try to make it easy, comfortable, and fun to voluhreer with us, so you'll want to stay as a volunteer to help us grow. Your job as a volunteer is to have hearfrelt passion, dedication, and a genuine commitment to work to support the educaion of our students in Africa.

Our headquarters is home based in DC which oversees mission programs in Ghana and Zambia. Travel to these two African countries to participate in our work is encouraged at own expense and is tax deductible. Volunteers have visited school in Ghana and orphanage in Zambia returning with the reward of meeting and interacting with students, teachers, and families. They return with heart warming and wonderful stories about their experiences and students. These personally experienced stories are not only brought back in their hearts, but in videos/photos and displayed on our social media sites, so others may see how their donations are being used and the work CPI supports to provide quality education to students whose futures otherwise would be undetermmined.

Position requirements include working as a team of project coordinatiors, selecting a team leader, and attending periodic in-person meetings for more detailed discussions of planning and strategies of fundraising campaign. Fundraising planning and events, etc., as well as accountability and integrity of revenue management resulting from fundraising sources/events makes virtual participation limited to appliacnts residing in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Fund Development Program team members, after selecting a team leader, also may meet as a team to discuss fundraising projects and implementation; reporting results, suggestions, and actions to CEO for review, approval and recommendations. Applicants outside the area who may be interested, should include how they invision participating based on position description and requirements, and submit in comments or resume.
