Safe Passage for Children trains citizens to advocate at the Minnesota state legislature for abused and neglected children by:
-- Sending emails and making phone calls to elected officials
-- Visiting state and local legislators in person (usually with another experienced advocate)
Our volunteers have had a substantial and direct impact on child protection legislation and have greatly increased scrutiny of the child protection system.
The goal of Safe Passage is to reform Minnesota's child protection and foster care system so it protects children earlier and more effectively, improving their lives, their futures, and our communities.
