Enjoy working with the public? Lend a hand at special events such as gallery receptions, by greeting guests, helping with registration, serving wine, setting up hors d’oeuvres, etc. Gallery Opening Receptions take place on Friday evenings from 6-8pm. We have between 5-6 openings each year.

To provide a vibrant, contemporary cultural center through arts education, exhibitions and community outreach that will inspire creativity and enhance people’s lives.

Description

The Center for Contemporary Art is a vibrant regional art center with studio art classes, a summer art camp, rotating exhibitions and community outreach programs.

Art classes for children and adults are offered in painting (oils, acrylic and watercolor), ceramics, pottery, drawing, pastels, photography and more. Exhibitions of contemporary art are presented in three galleries, as well as annual members’, international juried and youth art month exhibits. Outreach programs bring art experiences to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, at-risk youth, seniors, adults with disabilities and people affected by cancer.

The Center is located in a fully-accessible facility in Bedminster, Somerset County in Central NJ with convenient access to routes I-78, I-287, and 202/206.
