The intern will given the opportunity to understand the emotional, physical care provided to hospice patients and family members by Caring Hospice of Central NJ by looking at it from three different prospective: staff members (office, clinical and physicians), patient's point of view and family members. Help in daily office activities by providing assistance int he Edison office with medical records filing, data entry or with other office duties as assigned.Shadowing members of the clinical team as assigned with the goal of understanding how their roles provides hospice care as a way to alleivate pain and symptom management.Attend team meetig when assigned to understand why they are required and how they improve the services offered to both patients and families. Receive new patient assignments as a volunteer to provide comfort to maintain the highest possible quality of life.Assist the volunteer coordinator with research and marketing to potential new volunteersOpen to all majors and duties will be assigned based upon specific interns goals established through initial interview with volunteer coordinatorThese opportunities are available in the following counties: Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Essex, and Mercer .
